Default Weird TPMS failure

I got new tires in May and figured after 10 years it would be a good idea to replace the TPMS sensors. A month or so later I get a "Service Tire Monitor" alert and notice the right front tire is showwing XX instead of a number. I also determined that this only happened after driving for about 20 minutes so figured it was a heat issue with that sensor. I had it replaced at Discount Tire and all seemed to be good for a couple of weeks and then it happened again - on the same tire!

So apart from perhaps getting the bad sensor replaced with another bad sensor, is there something else that could be causing this?

May be an improper sensor, too.

Could be: Wrong Sensor, Bad Sensor, Bad Sensor Programming.

Take it back to Discount and have them fix it.

Not so sure that's right. I took a long drive last weekend. I had the front tire pressures displayed. They both showed 28 initially. The left went up to 29 and then 30. The right never went up and 18 minutes into the drive went to XX. So the sensor is only communicating sometimes.

Have you taken it back to Discount yet?
If not, why not? Take it back and have them reprogram the sensors. If it still isn't working have them replace it for free.
