Default Manually releasing C6 auto trans from park

I have a 2011 c6 auto I need to load and unload on my car hauler that has no electrical power and no quick fix to use a fob. Doing some research i found a post by loragen, manually releasing C6 auto trans from park. I tried it on the wife's 2013 and could not get it to release. Pics from the post seem easy but that sucker isn't budging. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, leaving early am (6hr drive) to pick up around 7-8am.

Just lift left side go under find trans selector and move it back two clicks to neutral.

It's on the car trailer but that's another story on how it got on. Plan to disconnect the cable as you stated to roll it off. Will have a new post up soon on what I have to work with, some would say run away, not worth it....

Do you have a picture of what this looks like? Seems as though our shift cable is broken and we are trying to get it into neutral to get towed.

It was easy on this car, I just pressed down in the area on the boot as shown it picture.
