Default 6.2 / 416 help

so im looking into getting stroking a 6.2 block i have to a 416, .005 bore to clean it up making it a 4.070

parts list
Callies compstar 4" crank # APO31-CS-24
Wiseco pistons # K464X7
Callies Compstar rods # CSC6125DS2A2AH
nightfurty cam 233/242 .629/.629 113+3

stock ls3 intake (possibly fast not sure)
stock heads (upgraded springs)
ls2 ported tb
TSP LT's
off road X

how much power torque should i see with that in a c5 z06?

my problem is my h/c/i bolt'on ls6 made 475/415 rear wheel n/a and drive close to stock, id hate to do all that and make close to the same power, id love to see 540-550 hp 450-480 tq at the wheels with close to stock street manners

any input is welcomed!

Pretty sure you will not see 550 RWHP on a realistic
Dyno with Stock LS3 Heads and Intake.

FAST LS3 Intake not worth difference UNLESS using
Mid Length Runners.

For your goals I would recommend either AFR/TFS
LS3 Heads (MamoMotorSport Version for the Best) along
with the Mid Length Runner Fast & 11.0-11.5:1
Compression. Your cam would work well with
those Heads.

Check out "small bore 427" on LS1Tech Dyno results section, your recipe
with 4.0" stroke VS 4.10"
Good Luck

part of my problem was this is not a planed build, my ls6 stripped a head bolt when putting my heads back on and if the engine is coming to repair it i cant see not building the bottom end but i have a 6.2 on hand needing to be rebuilt so figured might as well build that and stick it in

so with that said heads are not in the budget at this time at max i might be able to have the stock heads ported

what do you think would be a real world numbers for this build?

Well ported stock heads & intake (rod mod), 11.0:1 Comp
480-500 RWHP, ~460+lb' with a broad curve probably
30-40 lbs at bottom & 50-60+ at the peak more torque
then your 346", will feel completely different, will run
out of air 600-800 RPM earlier.

Your goal is possible for sure but you need a few good parts and few $ thosands a stock block ls3 stock cubes will make your goals but both your wallet and your strategy must match.

i was told 416 would make better numbers then a 376?

im going to send the heads out to katech to get them ported, going to do my best to fund a fast 102. car has headers, UD pulley, off road X, B&B modded exhaust, RPM trans 30 spline output shaft, 3.90 c6z upgrades in diff & monster LT1-S clutch

right now im lost when it comes to what cam? i see 416 HP/TQ numbers all over the place from mid 400's to 600+

if i got 475/415 rear wheel with a 346 that was a budget build prc 2.5 243's btr cam fast 92 it be really sad not to see 500+ rear wheel with a stroked 6.2

The key is a good set of heads and the rite cam I suggest you sell your ls1 heads and buy the best ls3 heads Instead of porting the oem as for the cam get the specs from Patrick G is only 40. but a must do Google his name.

yeah its just not in the budget for aftermarket heads, i under stand better heads would probably net 20 or so HP more but i think i can still hit 520-540ish rwhp with ported 823's

as for my ls6 going to try and sell it complete as is or give the buyer an option for me to have it fixed on there time every one tells me its an easy fix with time certs
