If I replace my calipers and lose only a minimal amount of fluid by using rubber stop plugs on the steel line while I'm making the swap, will I have to have the ABS reprogrammed? I think I'm asking the right question here. That is, will swapping the calipers require any other action besides just swapping the calipers? Of course I'll be swapping the hoses, rotors, pads.
Of course, I do know to keep an eye on the master cylinder reservoir to make sure it doesn't run dry. And, I'll be using the gravity method to fill each caliper and then a handheld vacuum pump to pull out any remaining bubbles.

The problem is when the system goes dry, you end up with Air in the ABS pump, and then need to use a Tech II to cycle the pump to get the air out of it.

I'll definitely have to keep an eye on the master cylinder reservoir while swapping out each caliper. Definitely don't want to be going to all that pricey Tech II stuff because I wasn't paying attention to that.

Wouldn't say pricey stuff, since a VX Gm nano goes for around $100 if you have a windows 7 machine to run it's Tech2win software, or a Tech II clone goes for about $250 instead.
Hence if you are going to wrench on a C6, at some point your going to need a tech II, if not just for calibrating a new brake pedal sensor on its replacement.

I've changed calipers eight times, and I have a Tech 2, and I've never needed it to recover a rock-solid pedal. You'll be fine.
