I found out yesterday that my radiator support on my 08 z51 is broken in 3 separate places, took it out and it looks like it was repaired previously, my question is is there any steel replacement available anywhere that would eliminate the two hanging drag bars at the bottom?
Your options are to have someone weld it up a bit beefier or buy the wheels that bolt to the front that allow the car to lift a bit when it gets low enough to hit the support. Unfortunately these cars are low so this is a common issues. Ive broken mine a few times but the wheels helped quite a bit.

Thank you
I already pulled it out and welded it a little better but I'm afraid it will break again, and was hoping someone would've made a steel bracket instead and then I would add the wheels to that. On my previous c6 It had the wheels from the previous owner, it seemed to help but it still broke after a while.
I am on my 3rd, I have become a professional at this installation - the ones you buy today are welded crappy - on my last one I took it to a welding shop and had it all beefed up, problem was when my son drug it coming down a ramp of a car wash - instead of snapping the welds it just bent, it bent in such a way to put my radiator in a bind and actually I had to replace the radiator because is popped the end cap.
The one I have now I bought from a vette place that parts cars out - it seems to be allot beefier and so far so good - I probably just screwed myself typing this............
I guess what I was saying - I found out that it may be better for it to snap and let the radiator go back into place even though the bracket support welds are popped than to make it a beast so that the aluminum just bends and takes other items out with it.
