The manual says that the clock is set by military satellites through GPS. Was that taken away by the military. I don't know!!!

That's my screen. Pressing any of the buttons does nothing including the up and down or 24 hrs button. It's all blank.

Mine is doing the same thing. Im miffed. The service manager at Folsom chevy says for $150 diagnosis fee the should be able to figure it out. I ordered another antenna for the GPS so once its here I will try that. Im stumped! Anyone Help!

Try going into the self-diagnostic mode and see if you can gleam any insight into what is happening. At least you can check and make sure the unit is seeing satellites (do it outside so there is a view of the sky ... even minor obstructions can block the very low-powered GPS signals).

Hopefully we can go to someone at GM with this issue because it appears to affect many.

Mine just started doing this on Dec 19th when the battery was reconnected after some non-electrical work was done. No more clock.
There's another guy in a general forum thread who had this problem last week, so that's 7 of us in one week so far. No way it's coincidence, and it seems unlikely that it's failing parts either.
I guess the real question is what corvettezman asked earlier in the thread, is it possible to disconnect/reconnect the battery on any C6 with navigation right now and still have a clock? Maybe something has changed with the GPS satellites.
Also would be interesting to know if 2011-2013 nav units (which are a little different) suffer from this problem.

i tried convincing my cousin he has a 2012 c6 GS to disconnect his battery, of course I explained to him why before hand and he decided not to proceed with my little project since he likes having the clock there lol

I ran the diagnostics, it showed no errors and the GPS was connecting, however the coordinates , time and date were not coming up on the diagnostics.

Nothing has changed with the public GPS signal, and US policy says they will never turn it off (they play with the encrypted signals all the time, but we don't care) - would would immediately notice if they did in a lot more obvious ways than the clock in your C6. The next GPS "event" will be the roll-over of the week counter on 7 April 2019 (the signal only has enough bits to accommodate 1024 weeks ... it rolls over every 1023 weeks, so this will be the second time since we started launching GPS birds).
I have a 2012 nav head in my 2007 and disconnected the battery for a few hours about three weeks ago with no issues (after the system was outside long enough to reacquire a good signal). All very odd ...

Im still hoping its my Nav antenna although its a bear to install correctly. I also want to put a usb head in my 05. I've been assured it will work but am worried now. I still think I damaged my antenna while installing a PAL unit I got from Ray Kawal. He's never seen this problem either. Any Thoughts???
