Diagnose Car shut down
BTW.....
[QUOTEalmost any situation where there is faulty wiring or a faulty module interacting with the ECM][/QUOTE] or where the battery is dead, bad alternator, juspstarting,
crossed wires, or ANY other electrical mayhem usually contributes to the ECM failing.... Even if it was actually "good" the moment before the electrical problem.
So,...... REPLACING your baby's BRAIN might be heart failure for many of you... and the DIAGNOSTICS leading up to it are UNCERTAIN and time consuming.....
SO,..... I do my best to make it VERY EASY and INEXPENSIVE to test the car with a REPLACEMENT ECM to take all of the "Heart Failure" out of having to worry
about your baby's dead brain.

In the past, sourcing a replacement ECM meant distress and expense....especially at the dealer or a shop that's not familiar with these things.... For ME, it's pretty quick
and relatively painless to get you into a new ECM... Even if yours was tuned or modified.....or locked....

It appears the ECM was getting worse by the day. Suddenly my doors would not open and the radio would power up and dash when attempting to open the door. I had to press the unlock button to get in. The next day the FOB would not open doors at all.
Thank you Chuck
One test drive done and no symptoms of shut down happening.

One test drive done and no symptoms of shut down happening. Now to chase down the hot burning smell. Time to inspect brake pads.
