I know there are already a lot of posts about "service traction control" here, but I haven't found any that describes my problem. I have a 2011 GS vert 6 speed manual that I've owned for about a year. A couple weeks ago, I had the "service traction control" & "engine power reduced" show up on the DIC. Car ran in jerks, slow, fast, slow, fast. I was close to home and just went and parked it. I disconnected battery and re-connected it and problem disappeared. A week later, exact same thing. I replaced the baytery and thought maybe cold weather since it was mid 30's both of those days. However, today, temps at 71°, and I get it again. This time, when I restart it, the engine light stays on. I take it to Autozone and have them pull codes P1516: command throttle to TPS correlation error, and P2101: throttle actuator control motor circuit range / performance. I decided to go to dealership to see what could be done. When I started the car there, no light, no codes, so dealer can't do anything unless I want to leave it there a couple weeks and let them drive it around hoping that it comes up. Is there anything I can do, knowing these codes? I am not a mechanic, so as much detail as you can give is appreciated.
I'm not saying this is your problem, but I've had the reduced engine power and service traction control codes both on my c6 and my issues turned out to be connection issues. There is a plug on the steering rack right below the ABS module on the driver side, I unplugged it and sprayed electrical cleaner in there, plugged it back in and that solved my issue. I've recently gotten the reduced engine power - Check the obvious, the connector at the throttle body. This includes loose individual wires or whole connector, or a dirty connection. I've heard when researching this however that many people end up needed to replace their throttle body.
Thanks for the advice. Could you give some pics or a good description of what I am looking for and where on the car. I am not familiar with these and can't ffind much helpful input.

Sure. You'll have to sort of figure this out a little as you go, but the steering rack connector isn't easy to get to without the car on jack stands. Here's a photo i found from a different thread on here that shows the connector. Its the one on the right with the blue piece on it.
You don't have to disconnect anything to reach like what you see below, but i drew an arrow to where this is located on the vehicle. Just behind those two pipes where the arrow is pointing. I had to spray electrical cleaner in the connector and it solved my issue.
The throttle body connection is super easy to access. Its on the passenger side of the throttle body, the arrow is pointing to it in this photo
I'd inspect this, make sure its a solid, good connection, that there is no damage to any of the wires or connector or that there isn't dirt somehow inside this connector either. Again, I've heard that several people have had to resort to replacing the throttle body to fix this but its worth a shot. I think if you ever throw a belt, and that wire isn't secured properly that it can damaged the wire.
