It is sad how the OP got hosed at the dealership and had to go through all that. I feel his pain though. I just went through it with my car in the last couple months. Between my tire issues with Continental and Tire Rack, (likely never deal with them ever again), issues with tire shops and balancing (likely buying my own tire installation machines), I've just about had my fill of people working on my vehicles. Stuff that should be simple as pie, I have no idea how they can f it up so bad.

Try going to independent shops looking for a wheel alignment...with camber plates. I've had to train several techs and on my dime. It sucks. The last one I went to was at a Chevy Dealer and they actually did a good job of it and the tech knew what he was looking at as far as the camber plates go, but I'm certainly game for attempting it on my own. I'm tired of paying alignment shops.

Only grip I have on a few shops, is their machine can not check steering wheel position sensor to make sure it centered, don't have a tech II; so I end up bring my own tech II to set up for them so they can confirm that the steering wheel sensor is reading 0, when the alignment machine says the tires are at zero.

Hi Dano, I still have to get my tech2 set up. I'll have an opportunity at the end of June when my son and I drive down. Getting closer to retirement but it hasn't happened yet and now it sounds bbn like I'll have another big project to tackle in "retirement".

Mike, since you in the states (I'm at the house in Denver currently), just IM me with a phone number to call you back, and can make short work of the tech II stuff over the phone.
