MAF Sensor Help Needed
I have a 2008 C6 Base Corvette I use for a for a track car. It's got a custom tune, forged engine, TEA/TrickFlow heads, Martin Cam and makes good power. I'm having a MAF problem now though.
Hoping I'm not looking at needing a new ECM but I'm believing I am the more I dig into it. I have a recurring P0102 code that keeps throwing. I had a spare MAF so I plopped it in and the code came right back. My filter is clean, no vacuum leaks, and my wiring checks out. With Key-On/Engine Off, I'm getting a solid 12.8V on the pink wire, ground is 0 ohms to chassis, and unplugged the signal wire shows 5V. When I plug it in, it sits at 2.8V and doesn't move a bit when the engine is running. I don't have an oscilloscope to check the frequency but I may try my HPTuners to see if I can with that. Anyway, when I went through the GM tech manual, it seems to indicate if I get the readings I'm mentioning above, then I have a bad ECM. I know it's a pain to reprogram so I'm really hoping I'm overlooking something or there is another avenue to solve this. BUT, if it's ECM, then it's off to Chuck CoW I go.
What got me curious if it could be something else as this happened right after I changed out my water pump. I moved my MAF out of the way when I was swapping out the pump but never got it wet or abused the sensor or wire in any appreciable way. Very odd.
Thanks if you've got any ideas!
Tom
