I thought I saw someplace that solid motor mounts + trans mounts break torque tubes....I CANNOT find that thread now that I am thinking about buying a set.
Any truth to that? I am thinking I remember that post recommending just engine mounts or just trans mount to give some 'give.'
Pretty sure the Level Zero Solid Mounts (Poly) or (Delrin) kits are goiod enough for what I want them for.
Car is a 09 :LS3 with limited street use (NVH who cares)
Knock sensors going haywire and broken bell housings are the two things I've heard CAN happen with solid motor mounts. That's the reason we designed ours the way we do. It's a single bolt thru to keep the motor very much in place, but there's a very firm rubber sandwich to smooth out high end NVH.

Wow those things look amazing... Are those stiff enough you must/should replace the trans ones too? Im not sure I have found the best information regarding the proper/improper pairing of motor/trans mounts.
I have tried stiffer/solid motor mounts in a few different LS powered cars (2006 GTO, 2002 Z06) cars but I pretty quickly returned back to a stock mount as the amount of vibration was unbearable. I just don't think there is really any benefit especially on a street car. Now a full on race car, I can understand.
Unless, you like the feel of more vibrations and rattling the feelings out of your teeth.

I think its a personal preference. My car wont see 2k miles a year, I have an actual DD.
