Default Kooks headers hitting trans line

I have 1 7/8 headers and catted x pipe from a c6z I just installed on my 12 grand sport manual 6speed and the trans lines touch. I tried to space them up but the hardliners still touch.
and recommendations?
thx

These are my 1⁷/⁸ Kooks on a base C6. The closest of the 2 lines are 1/2" from the collector, that aint much.
Maybe I should have wrapped that section of the header?
What I will do is wrap that section of trans line with material similar to what I wrapped the starter with.
With that said and my trans lines are 1/2 inch away from the header and I havnt seen an increase in trans temp nor does the trans heat up any faster when moving.
That could change if I were stuck in traffic in 90 degree heat with the AC on and my car has a supercharger!

We shall see.

I already have this stuff in the garage so I'll try the convoluted tubing with the velcro stuff over it or just one or the other on the trans fluid lines.
See what happens.

I lost my A6 to overheating last year and had it rebuilt. At that time I added a Dewitt’s and a B&M trans cooler. The trans lines are about 3/16” from my long tubes and to prevent migration of heat from the uncoated headers I wrapped the headers with quality header wrap. The trans temp is much better now but not sure how much of it is from the wrap but it certainly has a positive effect on keeping fluid temps lower.

Charlie- dont know what brand/ temp rating of that insulation you posted there but a lot of those insulation’s directions warn to not put in direct contact with very high temps. What’s good to wrap the starter likely won’t meet the temp rating of header wrap or insulation that that withstand direct header heat. It might catch fire. Just a heads up.

I ended up removing the tunnel brace and bent the lines out of the way
got about half inch clearance now. Still gonna wrap them for peace of mind
