Default Going to replace entire auto shift assembly

So I went to do the pawl deal and my shifter is just mush. It must have some internal plastic parts broken. It won't go into Park either. It drove fine but when I got back to the garage I had to turn it off, pull the e-brake and then disconnect the battery.

I bought the 08' shifter assembly with 08' **** on eBay.

2 questions:

1.) Is this something I can do myself? I'm fairly mechanically incline, electronically not so much. I've owned a Testarossa in the past and was able to do a lot myself.

2.) Is there any reference on this or is it just remove, plug and play, and install? I couldn't find anyone having done it here.

Thanks in advance.

When my 07 started giving me problems, I had the dealer replace the whole assy when it was in for other service, including a new ****. Work's great now, no issues. I would say, if you have no issue pulling the console, it would be fairly easy to replace. The whole assy is really not expensive considering what it is.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I hope I get similar results!

These are the two parts I have coming. When you mention assembly is there anything else I need?

To me this looks like a removal, and then attaching to the cable connection and one electronic plug. Seems fairly straightforward. Hopefully....

It’s extremely easy and very straight forward. Good luck and please let us know how it turns out.

Will do! I'll record and edit the relevant parts for future reference if anyone should need it.
