if not doing aftermarket converter or port/polish the ls3 heads I wouldnt bother with the baby cam the money you spend .
just look for a used supercharger. I did baby cam/ texas speed ported my heads, added more compression definitely added more power.
Then I went with yank pas coverter and it really woke it up
Does it make sense (like in the old days with performance upgrades) to step up to a hotter cam? Nothing crazy where lots of other parts need to be changed out. But simply a bump up from the stock cam.
Thanks. You guys are always so smart and helpful!

Personal opinion here, but I suspect a converter swap would satisfy you more than a small cam change and for a lot less hit to your wallet. Something like a Yank 3200 stall will drive like stock until you hit it. It won't mess with emissions, nor smoothness at idle/slow speed either. Unless you play in the mountains, you can get away without an additional trans cooler. If you decide to do a cam later, you'll already have the converter that's normally one of the things that compensates for roughness. A converter and tune combo is the best bang for the buck.
