Thanks Oldmotor,

Yes on my last set of pushrods I had 9 different lengths pushrods to get the preload right! The heads I'm runnig are AFR Mongoose & they come with a friggen heavy azz intake valve. I took my heads Up to Tony (Mamo) yesterday to have him work his magic on them.

You're in good hands with Mamo. He's a little spendy for my tastes, but his work and his advice are solid. I think you can do better on your cam choice this time around. A little bigger cam duration wise may be better. And I'm about the last guy to recommend going with a bigger cam. Softer lobes, more duration, don't go apeshit on the lift, and I'll bet you'll be fast and happy. If Mamo doesn't set you up with a cam, I'd get in touch with Pat G.

Old Motorhead do you think staying with .608" is too much? I'm thinking going up to 224 or 223/233 114 or 115+4 something like that. Thoughts anyone?

Go back to gen 4 stock rockers. If you have a stock style head get a lifter link bar, btr came out with a real nice one for the money. Get a needle bearing setup, no need for bushings if they're properly retained.

The lift is fine. You can run more.

If you didn't get johnson lifters, return them. OEM ls7 lifters, maybe caddy lifters are ok. Otherwise skip everything but johnsons. I know people have good results with others, but lol. Johnsons are worth it. I am considering buying a set of 2126's if someone buys my (new) 2110's.

I would guess lifter and cam hardness are not agreeing. But I have no idea what lifter or cam you got in there.

Skip the vette forums and go to YB. You'll save a lot of money and time listening to those guys.

I'm running .620 lift with stock rockers and ported LS3 heads. I have over 20K miles on it with 0 issues. Also using BTR platinum .660 lift springs. I think you're fine on the lift and could run more. Here's a cam real close to the one you mentioned above Summit Racing SUM-8715 Summit Racing® Pro LS Automotive Camshafts | Summit Racing. It might fit what you're trying to do.

Not sure what your end game is. I'd get in touch with Pat G and get him to spec you a cam for what you're trying to do. It doesn't cost much more to get a custom cam specced just for you.

This is what Pat G recommended for my car. Cam motion did the work.

old Motörhead recommended him to me 6yrs ago very happy with performance on my car. And Pat G listen to what I wanted as a week end driver. 2008 ls3 base rig. With the usual mods. I don't know $hit about cams but talked to those that did.

He got your cam just right Scotty. He usually does. With a TVS2300 blower on top, your rig needs a cam quite a bit different vs grpweld's needs though. It would be interesting to see what he would recommend for this one.

PatG may know his stuff with cam lobes? But his e-mail tune business is a rort! He steals your money and ghosts you! Then he asks for more money! If you ask for a refund, he only agrees if you not tell!.. And i have the proof. He is a grub!

Pat G street tuned (in person) my heads/cam C6. The original dyno tune had some bad mannerisms. It's as perfect as you're going to get for a 500rwhp heads/cam Vette now. Very good fuel eco too. I've run several of his cams also and they were always spot on. I'm sorry you had problems.

I'm not sure what to do next or just wait! I paid Pat G for not urgent delivery as opposed to urgent delivery
