I replaced pads last week for an upcoming track day. If your caliper bolts are like those on my 11 GS then they were hard to remove because of some original factory locktite on the bolts. I needed a pipe extension for more leverage. Just want to give a warning.

Lots of opinion here about pads. Your rotors are most likely fine if you currently stop without vibration. You should probably replace brake fluid if you haven’t done so.

Autozone Duralast Gold, no question about it. Great bite, no squeaks, and significantly less brake dust than the OEM pads. Best part - they're affordable.

For a street car chose dustless ceramic pads and the above suggestion to bleed the brakes with new fluid is something you definitely should do.

While you are at it do the Ranger method for the clutch fluid if you have a manual transmission.

I used Hawk HPS pads. Very low dust. Very low noise. Great bite.

I just did all 4 in my 2008 Z06 with 38k miles.

No one in OKC would turn the rotors due to the cross drilled holes. So, I bought 4 new rotors from GM.

Bought the full set of Carbotech bobcat 1521 1 piece pads.

Very good pads, no noise, low dust, great feel. A little expensive in my opinion.

These are great street pads, but they dont have the same initial bite as the factory padlets. These are not track pads either, I noticed a difference after a few 150mph hard stops. But they are great for a street car. They are great for my weekend drag strip habit, but not for road racing.

Very good pads.

This. I replaced mine last year to cut down on the dust versus OEM.

I did not change my rotors as they were still in good shape. I also did not resurface them.

I also did not do any break-in or re-bedding (maybe should have). But I also have not noticed any change or decrease in stopping power.
