So the problem has just recently showed up. I'm working with a 2007 ZO6 with 30K easy miles on it. The gauge will go to full when i gas it up and then go to just before it reaches one half of a tank and then it stops. Won't go any lower. And since I don't drive it all the time it has caused me to run out of gas twice now. Won't happen again as now I'm on to it. So what if anything do you guys know about this issue?

Thanks!!
One of your fuel level sensors (probably the right one) is likely dirty, worn, or stuck.
Are you getting a check engine light and "Service Fuel System" message on the DIC? If not, your car's failure mode is unusual. Examination of the fuel level signals would tell you more.
The proper fix requires dropping and disassembling the fuel tanks, which is expensive, so you might as well try the Techron first.
Based on the mileage on the car it probably sits, or has sat a lot, the thing not to do is let it sit with an empty right tank as it allows the air in the tank to dry out and corrode the sending unit. Mine did the same thing, and I did as noted above, run Techron thru it a couple times and keep the tank as full as possible, especially if it sits for any time. Mine has not acted up since I started this regimen (knock on wood).

Yes, I was getting the "service fuel system" before but not now. The gauge is still not working. I usually use Gumout All In One fuel treatment. It's done a real good job of keeping the fuel injectors clean. Been lax on using this here lately. Put some in just before this started. Does anybody here think the Techron is any better than Gumout?
