Yes. Stock 7.4 pushrods will work. You might consider hardened push rods also. Talk to the People at Texas Speed.

they are not a LS7 lifter.they are a GM Performance parts upgrade lifter.work well on my 745hp car that uses stock pushrod and cam

Before you go to all that problem of tearing it all down try some engine cleaner. Detergent oil will not do it. I had the same problem few years back, used cd2 which is no longer available but something like it. You drain a quart, put this in and drive 100 miles and change the oil. It desolved the gunk in lifters and they have been normal since than. Ticking went away. Cheap fix, i was very happy.

I have actually done this, I added a bottle of Rislone to my oil two separate times hoping to eliminate the noise. It actually did quieten it down some but didn’t get rid of it completely. Maybe a should try something a little stronger? Maybe some seafoam? It would be nice to avoid pulling the heads but two bottles of Rislone didn’t do it so idk.

The Machinist that is doing my work has a COPO and uses the GM Performance LS7 lifters. The car makes 1100 at the wheels with a best time of 8.3. Shooting for an 8.0.

Abslutely. You have nothing to lose, i also heard good things about seafoam. Much to gain if it works.

I believe what I’ll do is put a little bit of seafoam in the gas, some in the crankcase and then spray a bottle of the seafoam intake cleaner into the intake and go from there. Hopefully this will take care of it but I usually don’t have that kind of luck. I was going to order the lifters today but I will hold off until I try this.

. I apologize. You are correct that COPO motors directly from GM do indeed use Johnson lifters.

Check your facts. COPO engines from GM indeed have 2110 lifters in them.

I have the DIY CHE rocker arm trunnion upgrade too, but CHE once did their own bronze bushing upgrade where you had to send your rockers in.
Maybe it is that?
