Could anybody take a look at the picture below and comment ? Thanks in advance.

Seems to me that only #7 is bad, with the electrode burnt / lower than the others. Measured the gap and they were all .038 - 0.039" except #7 which was .079".

Car is a 2008 Z07, has a Katech Torquer 110 cam, ported heads, runs 94 octane and is tracked a couple of times per year. Around 28k miles. No issues whatsoever running (that I can feel).

I would agree that they all look good except #7. I've heard mixed reviews on NGKs though. Some people have weird charging issues after changing

I tried the NGK TR6IX (iridium) and the motor didnt like them.

Switched back to plain NGK TR6 v-power, and the car runs fantastic.

I have trouble understanding how these plugs would impact the charging system.

Try them...see how it responds.

Pull the injector and coils on 7, and move them to another location to see if problem follows.

If follows, move the #7 coil back, but leave the #7 injector where it's at. If problem stays with #7 injector location still burning plugs (not a coil or wire problem), then pull injectors to have them bench tested for matching flow rates.

As stated, detonation problem with #7 cylinder that took just that plug out, and could be spark or fuel the problem at hand.

Thats a great point.

i just pulled my injectors and sent them to Houston for clean and flow test for $150.

Did this during the plug change.

A lean condition on that #7 position could cause knock and kill the plug.
