Default Radiator replacement

Hi folks, I trust everyone is have a great Memorial Day weekend so far. Don't forget those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us to be able to be here. I have a 2005 Z51 six speed car. I have purchased a new radiator through Summit a DeWitts brand. The radiator looks great with high quality welds and arrived in top shape. I would like to know if any of you have performed this swap and what issues do you experience good/bad that might help me out when I start this project. The photo attached show multiple cracks near the top. I had been having coolant leaking for a few days and removed the top cover to inspect further. This is what I found. So I ordered a new one from Summit.

The sucky part was I had to pull the fan assembly out the bottom of the car. Working on the floor of my garage was a little aggravating but doable.

My fans came out the top, but it's a C5. Anyway, OP, you made an excellent choice. Can't go wrong with a DeWitt radiator. I've had one on my C5 for 16 years. Absolutely NO issues, ever. As for your original, stick four legs on it, and make a man cave table out of it!!! Should hold at least a case of beer!!!
