Kept getting P0101 code and "SERICE TRACTION SYSTEM"after installing Corsa intake. Replaced MAF sensor, plugs ,checked plug wire and coil connections, Reinstalled factory intake and my issue went away. Has anyone ever experienced that? Both filters were k&n , I was thinking of swapping filters and see if that helps the CORSA. . I really like the look of the Corsa but I can't live with code.
I bought that expensive carbon fiber Corsa air intake and it constantly threw a code after several start ups. Code stated engine was running too lean. Looked great, cost a fortune, wasn't worth the hassle for me on my '09 LS3. Running a modified stock intake now without any codes or problems.
no, still threw the code. i sold it then decided to buy a new one. i know that sounds crazy but i will give it one more shot.I really like the look as it matches my carbon hood. i will return it if it throws the code again but drive it for a few miles to see if the computer adjusts. . i don't think i disconnected the battery when i originally installed it. I didn't have the instructions on the 1st intake as I bought it used. i will let you know the outcome.
you sold the intake and bought the same intake again? is your vehicle an LS2 or and LS3? If its an LS3 car, the MAF is a card style MAF and can be put into various sizes of tubing. If the tubing for the Corsa is bigger/smaller than stock, you will get an inaccurate measurement of air from the MAF as the cross sectional area of the tube changes, therefore changing air speed through the tubing (overall mass flow rate should be close to the same as the engine sucks what it wants to suck depending on throttle body position)
short and skinny is get a tune after install of the new intake.
