Drivers seat clunks
Drivers seat makes a clunk type noise when I accelerate from a stop, l have had it out of car and redid the foam and put additional padding between seat foam and metal wires, inspected seat runners for loose play, but found no movement like the C5 ‘s use to have, tighten every bolt, or nut I could find, lubes splints and any moving parts, reinstalled seat and it still makes a thump/clunk as accel from stop, anyone ran into this, 05 convertible, 6 spd, 32k, seats look new, was driven most of its life by a small lady, no wear to speak of, thanks for your help, topkat

If you hear a clunk sound when accelerating, but do not feel the seat move, then I am leaning toward something under the seat that has some weight to it, but is not well-secured. Acceleration could allow that free part to swing and contact the seat frame and make the clunk sound.
