traction control
Last couple days when I drive my 2011 3LT base model, the check traction control comes on and goes to 1/2 power. I shut it off for a couple minutes then it is normal. But sometimes it happens again, like 3 times yesterday. Will I hurt anything to drive with it that way? Anything I can check to maybe fix it myself and avoid the dreaded repair shop high costs? Car has 87,810 miles and is auto.

Put a Tech II on the car, and pull up the history codes.
Note, basic scanner is not going to pull these history codes at that deep of the body level, and would need to wait for it to go into cripple mode, before it will give you the active trouble code.
Best guess, throttle pedal or Throttle body, and maybe just a dirty connector pins that are causing the problem that cleaning alone may resolve.
