Nice! Glad to run Into some guys that have went this route before. All the info is great! Any suggestions on where to get the intake manifold and throttle body ported? That sounds like hell of a deal with Texas Speed. I have been pricing out some refurbished 821 casted heads and I am seeing them for about $900 A pair on ebay. I would **** if I made over 500whp.. I know I lost allot of torque going with this stage 4, but with the 4:11s I really don't mind it now! Allot of people were saying the street manners would not be good, but ever since I put in solid motor mounts, 1 piece drive shaft and the 9 Inch there is no chugging at all. I literally can drive at 40mph in 6th and barely be over 1k rpm and there is no surging.
Gwatney (GPI) did my intake manifold. Gwatney also does ported throttle bodies. You must have a really good tuner to pull that low with no bucking or surging. You might also consider a 10% underdriven crank pulley. I'm sure your idle is turned up a bit vs stock idle engine speed already. No real downside to using one. It will free up a little horsepower.
Saw these on eBay. Seem great, but never heard about them before. Liked the 64cc chamber and flow numbers they posted
Those are interesting. I wonder how they got the combustion chamber that small. I'm guessing offshore castings that are machined and assembled in the states. I'd like to hear more about them.
