While I agree from a sales point of view, but certainly not when you're looking for maximum power from a basic bolt-on engine. Once you understand the basic concepts of gaseous thermal dynamics, it'll be much more clear. There's about 10 horsepower hiding in the 5000-6800 RPM range related to exhaust sizing and shape, if you know where to look. You don't need a supercomputer to do the math, when you can find the answer with a kid's crayon.

IDK about that for stock or close to stock combo's.
I ran mid 9's N/A with a 13:1 441 LS7 and I used 1 7/8 primaries.
1 7/8" for a stock LS3? 2" for an LS7? I just don't see it but that's imo.
