Default New tires and sizes

Hello all,

I'm looking to replace the tires on my 2008 Z06. I read as much as I could before asking in case this has been beaten to death. I have found several people saying they had no problem fitting a 345/30R19 on their stock rims versus the factory 325/30R19.
What I can't to seem to find is anyone using a larger tire on the front, I'm thinking a 285/35R18 versus the stock 275/35R18, would love to hear from someone that has done it and whether they would do it again.
Grew up building early muscle cars and getting a wheel/tire combo fitment has always been a big deal to me.
Thank you.

I ran those exact tire sizes on my 2013 GS. Should work equally well on a Z06. No rubbing and the nannies were happy. Michelin Pilot Sport SS's if that matters.

I would run 345/30/19 rear and 285/30/18 on front. If you can't find anything online of others running those sizes then you haven't looked hard enough haha. But I'm shopping around for wheels and tires and that's what I'm gonna go with.

**edit for correction**

I meant 285/35/18 not 285/30/18

Heck, I would even run a 295/30/18 up front. I just looked and that size is offered in many different brands including the toyo r888r.

If I go with 18s and 19s, that's what I'm doing. A 295/30/18 with a 345/30/19.

My other option is 19s all around with 295/30 and 345/30.

Have fun shopping and good luck.

If going with 18s up front, i meant 285/35/18. This is the size thats proven already on multiple other c6 vettes.

You go for that and let us know how you like it. That's over 2" difference front to back. That's just not going to play well. The combo I mentioned is proven. I'm going to leave it to that.

I could have sworn many others are already rolling with said sizes. I'll double check with a few of them. If I find out otherwise, I'll be sure to update here.

So these are the sizes I was thinking of. If I accidentally typed it differently on my previous posts, I will go back and edit to correct them.

No worries, looks like the sizes I was thinking.
I've been involved in a lot of forums (mostly boat) for years, I consider them info gathering places.

Yep... 295/30-19 and 345/30-19 work great. Been running this combo on several C6s I've owned over the past 5 years... no lights, no AH issues. Nothing.

But given the OP has 18" up front, it's probably a moot point right now.

Probably what I was looking for and didn't realize it. Some time ago I saw a picture of a Z06 online and I thought it had the nicest looking wheel/tire combo I had seen. Googled the crap out of those wheels and figured out they were a limited run for a GS show car or something, kind of gave up.
Never crossed my mind to switch to a 19" wheel in front as I have found a few repro's online.
I'm not against buying new wheels also, going to be below zero this weekend in New England no better time to shop for the summer toys.

Just wanted to update this thread with new sizes that are also proven.

295/35/18
355/30/19

Somebody I follow on IG is running this setup with no issues. And he isn't the first one that has recommended me these sizes. Another member on here told he's been running 355s on rear and no problem.

I think I'm just going to look into these sizes myself. The car sporting them definitely looks really good. Doesn't look funky or anything. Just thought I'd add in case anyone has thought about 355s.

That looks even better, found out today the wheels I like are discontinued. Wonder if those are the stock wheel sizes.?
