The car sporting them definitely looks really good. Doesn't look funky or anything. Just thought I'd add in case anyone has thought about 355s. [/QUOTE ]

That looks even better, found out today the wheels I like are discontinued. Wonder if those are the stock wheel sizes.?
Stock wheel sizes should have 18x9.5 and 19x12 if I'm not mistaken. Tires shoule have been 275/30 or 35/18 (my memory isnt all there on the front tire size) with the rears being 325/20/19. I don't think they had a different size unless the car was a zr1.

Curious if anyone here has dealt with this wheel company, suspiciously absent of user reviews etc. on Google searches.

Talk to Bob at House of Wheels before you make an expensive mistake. Bob knows his stuff. There's a difference between what can be mounted and what can be mounted safely. Fitment matters.

You can sift through all manner of machinations related to tire size on stock rim sizes. Will it fit? Lots of crazy **** will fit. Is it a good fit? Some is... some ain't. A 295 on a 9.5" wheel just isn't. If you always go slow in a straight line, you're probably good. A GS or Z06 has some incredible lateral capabilities. Throw a too wide assed tire on the stock rims and that incredible can go to dangerous in a heartbeat.

Do you think that you or anyone else for that matter, can look at a tire and tell if it's a 285 or 295. Good luck with that.

Are you saying a 295 wide tire is only good on a 9.5" wide wheel if you go slow and only in a straight line?

All these different manufactures recommend a 10.5" rim (or 10" to 11.5"). Maybe you know better than the guys that manufacture these tires? Just because they fit, and joe blow says they work, doesn't mean it's the smart play. And no, I wouldn't use a tire wider than the manufacturer recommends for the rims I have. Especially if I drove to the capabilities of a Z or GS. If you drive very conservatively, they might work just fine for you.

Many (if not most) autocross folks use tires that are 10mm wider than the manufactures recommend. It works fine and gives a bit more grip in high performance driving conditions. It is, however, a real PIA to mount those "pinched" tires - which may be why the manufactures do not recommend it.

Absolutely. Whether it be narrow body or wide body, an extra 10mm in the front and up to 20mm in the rear is within tire manufacturer guidelines. I ran 285/345 on my Grand Sport and now running 255/295 on my narrow body. I would have gone 305/35 19 on the rear of the narrow body, but Michelin didn't make that size in their PS4S's
