Default Trunk pull down on 2007 Conv.

Just purchased a 2007 and have been checking out the car little by little as I am using it. What a nice driving car. Only has 30k on it and it is a 3LT. Question ......does this car have the electronic trunk pull down? Right now when I close the trunk there are two latch sequences. I close it and it is grabbed by latch. No motor actuation. Then I have to push down for the final close and it is locked shut. It is a similar sequence that takes place on my 2018 GS but on the GS the final push down engages the electronic pull down and lock feature.

Anyone have any information on this issue? If it is an issue.......this is my first C6 so I am not familiar with the trunk feature. Thanks for your thoughts. - Fred

My 2008 Z06 2LZ didn't have it. Very annoying. Come to think of it, neither does my 4LT 2011 Grand Sport convertible. But I would swear my 3ZR ZR1 had it. Maybe it's a coupe thing since it was always difficult to shut the trunk on my Z06 unless the window was open.

There is an automated pull down function - I am experiencing similar issues with it currently on my 07 Coupe. The investigation tells me that I have to purchase a new/used assembly for the replacement. This assembly is quoted to me today at $670.00 new. I was at the dealership today and ready to purchase (had been told previously that it was $220.00) when they provided the new quote. My answer back was "not thank you, I'll shop used".
