Default Big Cam

I have a question for those with large aftermarket cams in their LS2s. How often do you guys change your valve springs? I currently have Comp Cams custom grind cam from LG Motorsports (G5x3/114) together with Comp Cams pushrods, 921 dual valve springs, and trunion upgrade kit. Heads were reworked with new intake and exhaust valves, ARP head bolts, new lifters and lifter trays, oil pump, timing chain, and ATI balancer with new crank bolt. My car is a daily driver, and I currently have 15 - 20,000 miles on all the parts above.

I think most people recommend around 20 to 25K miles to replace the springs with a big cam.

Post cam specs as "BIG" is a relative description that's different to most

Snatched from LS1 tech.... could be correct or NOT

234 / 242 with 605 615 lift on a 112 or 114
I wouldn't say the lift part of the equation is big! but that's a healthy amount of duration. Opening & closing rates could be pretty aggressive & cause stress on the whole valve train including the springs. I would give LG a call & ask them. It's important to have the correct lift spring but also a spring that's got enough seat pressure as well

I only had 252/262-630 lift on my 441, that was with 116 LSA-mid 9's on motor.
Had great street manners but also had alot more cubes.
