Crank Position sensor learning procedure fails
I had problems with the motor shutting off while driving.
The whole story is here in this Thread :

the oscilloscoping of the crank/cam sensor will be delayed for some time, as the Vette died on me in a underground parking area. Drove there fine, upon return only crank, no fire. It had to be recovered from there with a special towing vehicle, able to enter the small and narrow and very steep entry to the spot where it was standing. I did my first diagnosis when at home. Took out the drivers side rear wheelwell, disconnected the fuel pump plug and found out I have a massive short in the two wires giving power to the fuel pump (which is less than 1000 miles old). I guess it´s the short cable connection leading from the wheelwell to the pump. As the pump-side of this cable seems to be impossible to reach, the car will go back to the workshop which installed the pump and all the other stuff. My guess is, that they did something wrong when re-assembling the car and the wire has gone bad in the 1500 kilometers since then due to friction. Their earliest appointment they have is at the end of August, so now I have plenty of time to solve all the quirks and features of the front lighting wiring loom ......
Cheers !
Oliver
