I'm changing the head unit of my 2008 which involves the addition of a RP5-GM11 interface unit. I'm sure many of you will have done the same. My question is where did you splice the yellow 12v supply, red 12v ACC and the black ground wires? I have removed the old radio/nav unit but I haven't
studied the wiring at all, so maybe I'll simply be able to splice these 3 wires into the original wiring behind the unit?
I think I may have just worked out that I'm being a bit dumb here. The yellow red and black wires shown in the photo need to be connected to the replacement radio? Power and ground is supplied to the interface unit through the vehicle harness and then on to the new head unit through these 3 wires?

That is correct.
All your cutting and splicing should be between the connectors provided with the interface and the pigtail provided with the head unit. When you're done, the whole assembly should just plug into the harness like the OE radio.
