My 2005 is having BCM issues. I cleaned the battery terminals and grounds under the battery box and cleaned the BCM terminals. Worked well for a few days then yesterday complete failure of BCM disconnected the battery for 30 sec now all is well again. Does anyone have any suggestions they have found? Thanks
Windows went up and down by itself driving down the road...top will not go up or down depending...door button not working can't get in or out...buddy got trapped in it one night couldn't open door, windows not working, and top not going down. He didn't know about the emergency handle. Then it all works just fine for a few days. Then the bcm dies and nothing works until I disconnect the battery then all is good. Worried to go anywhere especially out of town.

Thanks, but sorry to hear about your issues. Hopefully you will be able to solve this and follow up.

I'd get yourself a scan tool (NOT code reader) that can read all the cars modules and see if any trouble codes are stored in the BCM.
I'm dealing with BCM issues on my 2007. I replaced a suspect electrolytic capacitor on the board. So far so good but it's too early to tell. The issue was random.
stay away from jump starting unless its life or death. these cars hate it....... get a battery tender if not already. low voltage and spikes are very bad.
Spikes I do worry about. When I have to disconnect the batter there are spikes that have concerned me. Really didn't have a BCM problem until I have fuel pump problems. Was the pin under the fuse box and now have BCM issues. Has anyone used the various module repair shops on the internet with good results?

Again, disconnected and clean all the connectors on the BCM. Pulled the fuse panel and cleaned more connections underneath. Pulled and cleaned the grounds on the frame. All is working fine so far. The last time I thought I had it fixed drove 200 miles pulled into the driveway and the BCM died. No windows, not doors, no top closing, no radio and no dash cluster. Disconnected the batter for 30 sec put it back on and all is well again. My issue is I don't know if it is fixed or not. Ugh Now afraid to drive it out of town.
