Default Help needed!

I looking for a good mechanic in the inland empire that I can trust with my 2009 Z06. Symptoms are when driving the engine just shuts off, all power stays working. I have to shut the power down and wait a minute or two and then the car starts and drives for a mile or two. Then just does it again! Yes, I had the battery check, test good. Please help! thanks in advance for your reply.

This post is a duplicate and will be deleted !!…I suggest you find an auto electric or diagnostic shop in your area…sorry but NO easy fix like a blown fuse !!!!…your typical “mechanic” won’t know how to diagnose it unfortunately!!

Are you getting any fault alarms on the DIC? Have you checked for any fault codes using a scanner? A Tech II would show any DTC codes thrown, which could narrow where you have to look for the cause. It could be loss a temporary loss of fuel if the electrical system checks OK. I could be a wiring issue at the Engine control module, etc etc. I've attached a vehicle diagnostic section which shows the fault codes/DTC's.

When it happens the dash does light up, reduced power, check engine, check electrical system, ect all came on. It did throw a code, because the check engine light was on after restart. Unfortunately I was not thinking and removed the battery to have it load tested, so the code was erased. I finally had a chance to drive it again today, without a problem. Drove for 10 to 15 minutes in all performance modes and the car ran great! So now I am praying that it's not going to be gremlins! Obviously the next time it happens I won"t remove the battery. Thank you for the fault code PDF. and your help!

Thanks for the suggestion, but Lancaster is quite a far way away from Fontana.

Sounds like a fuel pump relay, or relay connection. My car did the same exact thing. There are plenty of videos you can search. Easy fix if it is the case.

He does mobile service / I was going to have him come down to the lax area when I was out of town but a neighbor ended up being able to fix it.

any chance you had loose battery cables that you properly tightened when you pulled the battery?

Always a chance but they seemed to be tight when I unhooked them.
