C6 speaker replacement.
Guys,
I am looking to replace my factory speakers but still utilize the factory base amp. What ohm speakers should I be looking for? What kind of watt range should they have. I know the door speakers are either a 8" or 10". I was looking at a midrange loud speaker there. I am going to have a sub with a amp but want to use the factory amp for the mids and highs if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Replacing the 3.5" speakers and 5.25" speakers is easy. Beyond that you need start customizing. I've replaced the 3 3.5" and the 2 5.25" speakers in my base coupe, and the biggest difference came from the 3.5" speakers in the doors. I would start by replacing them and see what you think. There's also some debate about whether it sounds better with or without the center dash speaker.
This is assuming you have an 05-11 coupe. 12-13 with bose have tweeters on the dash, and convertibles have 6.5" speakers in the rear
