I just went through this same problem with my 2005. I've been fighting intermittent code pop ups for some time. It came to a head 2 months ago and have been beating my head against the wall . After many searches, I came upon a thread that told of the radio causing the same identical symptoms to mine: many codes pop up, it goes into limp mode, tester says it lost communication, the car wont start and the battery goes dead overnite.
It WAS the radio! Unplugged it and everything is back to normal. The radio has been acting strange for a quite a while. Station presets would change to a different station than set for. Sometimes all of the presets would set themselves to the same station. Weird!
I couldn't find that other thread but maybe someone with better search fu can post the link here. It was a very long thread. I'm very thankful for that thread. Radio? Whodda thunk it??

Rechecking things this morning.
Ever since I bought it in 2018, the HVAC would not change exit positions, it was always blowing onto the windshield. All web information and my Corvette tech told me that the curtain was torn. Today, a day after taking out the radio, all HVAC functions are normal. Apparently the radio was screwing up the HVAC too!....Unbelievable.

Yes, these aftermarket radios can sometimes disturb module to module communication and it can cause things like the car not even starting if it is affecting the ECM and BCM…this kind of troubleshooting is beyond the scope of dealerships and repair shops.
