Hey all! I know it's a subjective topic, but I am looking for a good off the shelf full synthetic replacement oil. I have a cammed 2010 ls3 with headers/cats. It's a DD, and a weekend warrior on the street (never tracked). I have always used Redline 5w-40. Motor loves it. Runs smoother/quieter, and not much oil loss between oil changes. That said, $17 per quart is getting a bit ridiculous.
Looking for an oil in the 1000-1200ppm range of zinc. I know Rotella T6 used to be highly recommended, but most of those threads are older.
Any off the shelf 5w-40 recommendations in that zinc range?
Check out the Mob 1 euro spec 0w-40. It has the zinc you want + lots of P. I've been running it for years in anything being pushed power wise. No oil related issues whatsoever. Mobil 1 Engine Oils Product Guide Sheet -May 2022.pdf

Thanks bud! Appreciate the input. I was leaning towards the Mobil 1 Euro line. Nice to have confirmation from someone that uses it.
I believe Chevrolet had an update that required 0w40 mobile 1 dexos II all c7 LTX motors which was permitted to backdate for LSX motors with Dexos Which was mandated in 2011. I believe the 0w40 also has more zdp and moly which is a nice anti wear additive.
I believe a number of guys have switched to 0w40 dexos II in LsX motors and showed good results. If not a good 5a30 will work. Either is fine for a street driven corvette. Track rats use for HPDE with good results.
