Default Leaf spring bolts not adjusting height

I was attempting to raise my front suspension today and I could not get the drivers side to adjust. I have the lowering/raising bolt maxed out and I can barely get a finger between the fender and the tire. Koni shocks and aftermarket lowering bolts. Wondering if I have a shock issue or if it’s a leaf spring issue. Anyone else have this problem? And yes, I turned the bolt in the correct direction. Clockwise/ raise. Counterclockwise/lower

The lower rubber portion of the ride height adjusters often disintegrates and wears away which will reduce the amount of "raise" that it will provide. You may need to replace the adjusters to get the full adjustment range back.

Step one, unless your after market ride height bolt are oem style, then throw them away, since will not last a years.

Next, take a good look at the trans spring at the clamp location, since does sound like your leaf spring may have cracked.
You don't start what model of car, but if you look at the glove box sticker will tell you if the springs are Fe1 or Fe3, and what trans in the car, will tell you which one of the types, since one for manual trans, and slightly stiffer for auto trans in the same F number.

As for setting corner balance with ride height adjusters, can start with oem heights, then subtract down from there for front/back the same measurements to drop the car down correcty, to try to keep same corner balance so car handles correctly/so you still have some travel and not bottoming out the suspension left and right, and not just trying to slam the car to screw up the handling instead.

And yes, if car was slam with ride height bolts maxed out, lost a lot of suspension clearance that had the suspension bottomed out all over the place, that can cause the leaf spring to crack in record time.

Never thought of the spring being cracked. I’ll check that tomorrow. Thanks!
