Default Headers?

Okay, so this may be a lot, but you guys know better than me. I daily my C6, and I am honestly not that interested in getting peak performance out of my car. However, I love the sound of some of these mods (and the extra umph isn't a bad thing either, lol), so I have already set my eyes on particular ones. I know I will be getting a Borla ATAK exhaust and I know I will be getting a BTR stage 3 cam. However, I want to know if it is worth it to get headers as well? I have seen plenty of people talking about them in terms of performance boost and added HP, but if I'm not too concerned about the extra horses, should I bother changing the headers? Or is it worth it to change them while I'm switching the exhaust? I have looked at the Kooks headers, and they are pricey but seem worth if I'm changing them, so those would be what I would consider getting. I will be doing everything myself, and I'd rather not pull the exhaust twice if I don't have to. Also, I live in Columbia, SC. Are there any recommended places to get my baby tuned afterward? Anywhere to avoid? Would I be good to drive to get the car tuned after install, or should it be towed? Thank you guys for any information!

TL;DR
I'm changing cam/exhaust-
Should I change headers?
If so, would Kooks LT headers fit with Borla Cat-back?
Is there any other crucial change I should make along with these that I may be missing?
Places near Columbia, SC to get tuned?

If you're going to the effort & expense of adding cam & exhaust, now is the time to add headers. My recommendation is for AR Headers with their X-pipe & hi-flo cats matched to Corsa Sport axle back mufflers.

I would highly recommend headers especially with a cam. It will maximize the gains with the cam.

As for which brand, I have had both ARH and Kooks on my 2011 C6 and the Kooks are better. Mainly they fit better and I did not have any clearance problems. The ARH's do not fit as well and sometimes are too close to transmission lines and to the frame on the passenger side. Kooks all the way.

And I would recommend to wait before you add an aftermarket exhaust. See how loud the car is with the stock exhaust and the headers. If you have the dual mode NPP exhaust, I think with headers it is the perfect exhaust setup.

Lets see, very aggressive cam, that has the engine surging so much at lower rpms, that is not drive-able in stop and go traffic.
Whats not to love, or can you say quickly sold at a loss to be come someone's problem.

I have stock manifolds and cords extremes and it sounds insane, really though it’s bad ***. Headers would put it over the top loud imo. The stick manifolds flow enough to still make 577rwhp with a stock intake/throttle body on my car srs

I wouldn't even entertain tuning a car with a cam and stock manifolds, timing would be so low from the massive restriction that exhaust temps would be through the roof and can eventually cause other problems.

I guess I should have clarified, I am sold on the brand itself. I'm still fairly ignorant of the differences between the stages, so I haven't married myself to a particular one. I'll check out the redhot one though!

Headers are one of the best ROI for more power (and sound). Wouldn't have any hesitation to daily with that set up although it will be pretty loud and aggressive

I have Kooks in stock, along with Borla systems and would be happy to put together a package deal.

Can recommend a few remote tuners for you as well.
