Has anyone experienced overheating issues when installing a vararam intake ?
Never had cooling issues before
but as soon as I installed this intake all of a sudden I’m seeing temperatures getting to 230 degrees
the lower part of the intake does block the condenser which is why I’m kinda putting the blame on that part .
would love some insight .
My GS had a Vararam on it when I bought it and the installer did a really bad job cutting the shroud. There were lots of open gaps around the Vararam which would take air away from the radiator.
I also noticed how much the air intake was in front of the radiator and was concerned about the cooling and possible water ingestion. There's no way water doesn't get to the air filter during heavy rain or even a car wash.
I don't track the car so not interested in the possible power gains. Lucky for me the complete original intake came with the car so I took the Vararam off and covered the big hole in the shroud.
