You need to be emailing all levels above the dealership, including corporate, and also sending certified letter letters to regional, divisional and corporate level, referencing this dealership, and all named individuals that have been involved. Is it going to be easy, no but you will get results, I promise you.

I’m sorry you’re going through this but if you follow the steps and are persistent I promise you will get results. Nobody at the dealership or district level wants the heat that this will bring.
Good luck.
Yeah I agree with what you’re saying and if I’m willing to push hard enough something very well may happen. The difficult part is that the dealership is over a 3 hour drive away. I appreciate your input and information, I very well may go that route. Thanks again!

the GM dealership I took the car to obviously didn’t care enough to attempt to diagnose the engine problem and reported back to the service manager where I bought the car that they couldn’t find anything wrong so the Dogde dealer I bought it from is refusing to take it any farther. His exact words were “the GM techs say it’s fine and I cannot authorize a warranty claim to take the motor apart without any evidence of a problem”….. I was like dude I stood right beside you while you saw the evidence for yourself, an assload of metal in my oil. And his only response was “I have to go by what the GM techs are telling me”
I will say tho it’s very strange, I personally cut open the filter they took off that had about 800 miles it and it was surprisingly very clean. So idk what to think…. But my motor most definitely has a problem. I’m going to drive it a thousand miles, send in a sample to Blackstone and cut the filter again… and go from there. I’m stuck with it

Wild guess here. Is it possible that there was a coolant leak/head gasket, etc., and they added some stop leak, and a little got into the oil?

Nothing to report as of now. I’ve been driving it and still working on getting up to about 1000 miles on the current oil to send off to Blackstone. I know this will probably make some ppl cringe but on the next oil change I’m gonna swap a quart of oil for a bottle of Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer just to see if it makes any difference in how much metal I’m seeing in the oil. I’m desperate at this point.

Funny side story. This past Monday I took the car to a shop for an alignment. Dude works on it for a good hour or so the comes and gets me out of the waiting room saying he wanted to show me
something. He got got all the wheels aligned except for the passenger front camber which was way off. He said he got it as close as he could and it was at like a -3.8 and it’s supposed to be something like -0.5. He was like man I think this car has been wrecked before because this doesn’t make sense…. I had a little bit of an anxiety attack…. Long story short his sensor had slipped a little bit on the wheel and was throwing it way off
After he fixed the sensor it aligned perfectly… this car is going to be the death of me

I can already spoil that hope for you. I bought a magnetic drain plug recently and drained out a quart of oil for inspection while putting the plug in… not good

My Z06 is showing the same material. Engine has only 7k miles on a freshly sleeved, forged internals and new ported heads build. Hopin g it is just clean out debris...but? How long should you see "wash out" materials? ALL NON-MAGNETIC

The last oil change I did was a few hundred miles ago and there was still the same material in the oil but didn’t seem to be AS bad…. I did send off a sample to Blackstone that had about 1000 miles on it and the report was good. I really have no idea what’s going on but I’m sure, at a minimum, a rebuild is in my future I would think.

If in fact the oil filter is clean I think your engine is fine. Is it possible that what you are seeing is residue in the oil pan that is left over from the initial new engine "break in?"

you would think that after 34k miles that would be cleaned out by now, but I suppose it’s possible. I’ve cut the filter open on the last 3 or 4 oil changes and it looked great…. That’s why I’ve kept driving it. Oil pressure is perfect also

Exactly! Some ppl beat the hell out of them and they run strong forever and some ppl can be easy on them from day 1 changing the oil every 3k miles and then have catastrophic failures. Wild
