I have a 2007 C6 base. Last year I put in the morimoto XB LED version. Some moisture got inside of the connector so I got a new set of taillights under warranty. I’m replacing the factory side female connector that I found on eBay (I’ll include a picture). The factory side included a yellow, black, and gray wire. The eBay connector had a red, blue and gray wire. I did red to yellow, black to blue and gray to gray. I plugged in the morimoto lights and nothing. The stocks still work however, assuming because they aren’t LED. I used heat shrink blue butt connectors, had 1/4 in or wire inserted on both sides and crimped them with a crimp tool, they all passed the pull test. I’m lost. I thought this would be a simple swap and now I’m left scratching my head. I’m definitely no electrician, but have done this before on other vehicles and never had an issue. What am I doing wrong?
Things I’ve also tried. On the eBay connector I exposed 1/2 in or wire and folded it over to ensure the wire was thick enough, still same result. I tried swapping the black wire to gray and the gray to blue. The stock ended up being dimmer, so assumed that was wrong and put it back to the original form (black to blue, gray to gray).
