Default looking for tire recommendations

I recently bought a C6 Z51; my first Corvette. I am thoroughly enjoying the car, and after about 1,000 break-in miles, I am beginning to push it a little harder. The only complaint I have with the performance appears to be the tires. I went through several sets of Bridgestone SO-3s with my M3, and they felt a good bit stickier than these Goodyear Supercar EMTs. Since there are other differences between the two cars, it's hard to accurately compare the tires. But I am sure the SO-3s were stickier, and maybe by a good margin. Unfortunately, they are not offered in the right size for the C6 rears. I am not concerned with maintaining runflats when I replace them. The choices are too limited, and they are too expensive.

Has anyone looked into this yet? I would appreciate any recommendations.

This is a new car and model so not many choices yet. I would just stick with what is factory and just go a bit easier on the driving style to get more wear if that is what you want but that is what the Z-51 was made for so you are driving it the way it was made to be driven and enjoying it at the same time. Tire wear is just the price you end up paying for having fun in this case.

I would probably have to go with the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. Personally, I would go to a 295/35 rear and 255/35 front on 19's front and rear. That would be just slightly taller than stock on both ends, but not enough to notice any performance loss. They are available in those sizes and you could go 1/2 - 1" wider wheels. This combination would really fill out the fenders nicely.
