Came out to the garage to find a nice 9" round puddle behind the front tire.
Assumed it was the meth pump but drove it to lunch, came back, spot evaporated.
Came out 2 hours later small spot. Went to test the spot, using fire of course, and moved the car, probably a cup of methanol spilled out from the rocker panel behind the wheel itself.
Still wanted to test so lit it on fire
Yes, it was meth.
That is a lot of meth to instantly start leaking. If I hit the test button the engine barely stumbles. I have to hit it 4-5 times before I assume the pump is primed and I get the complete stumble I am used to.
Called ECS about a spare pump, its probably under warranty but wanted a spare to swap with anyways.
Anything quick to check. Do I just pull the wheel liner?
It might not be the pump. I had a similar situation and it ended up being the grommet that seals the factory level sensor in the washer tank. Here is my thread:
I would pull the wheel and liner off and take a look. The leak will be obvious.

I'm a fan of 100% meth on certain applications and I run 50/50 from time to time as well... The pumps last about twice as long on 50/50 from what I've seen..
My rule of thumb is once a year replace the pump or have it rebuilt by Julio as preventive maintenance.
If the car is in a area that it sits for months at a time in storage I also like to drain and leave straight distilled water in the tank and lines instead of straight meth. Then I drain, refill, and prime with new meth once it's out of hibernation.
Wow, I have never had seals go bad. Had my meth on my 08 335i BMW from 08-2015 , running 3 gallons a month at 80% mix without an issue...guess I was really lucky. I did however go through meth fail safes like candy.
The seals didn't fail on mine after a year, but the output pressure DID go down. I don't know if it was all at once or slowly over time. I logged it before and after swapping the pump (have a pressure sensor on the methanol system) and there was a real difference between the two.
Here are two screenshots of the before and after. Same day, same car, same everything except the pump.
