Default Welp, pulled the trigger

I just ordered the maggy heartbeat with the 3" pulley, texas speedway headers and x pipe. I have a local shop installing it when everything comes in. I have a 2017 grand sport. I can't wait to get this thing going. I'll post dyno numbers when its complete. I decided to go with the PD charger because I will only use the car as an everyday driver. I'll enjoy the instant torque, and it will have less parasitic loss during normal driving. It should run between 8 to 10 lbs of boost and be around 600 whp hopefully.

Good choice. What's the exact pulley size you're going with? 3" does not seem ideal for a stock engine as it will give you about 13 psi

I was told the 3" will give me 8 to 10 psi. Do you know someone that had the 3"producing 13 psi? If it gets that high we'll get a bigger pulley. It still comes with the stock pulley. I'll give up HP to protect the motor. I believe due to the headers and x pipe being catless, it will drop the PSI a bit.

My heartbeat kit came with a 95mm (3.75") pulley. This gave about 7.5 psi with the stock engine/exhaust.

3" pulley is 76mm, check this post for reference https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1594843195

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to discuss this with my tuner. I did call Magnuson and told me due to the headers and x pipe I couldn't use the stock pulley, but I didn't ask why. I'll be sure to post what comes out of this so others will know if they decided to go the maggy route.

My 2300 was just delivered. I have a 2015 ZO6 so I ordered the upgrade supercharger kit with 80mm / 3.15” pulley. Should be close to 12 psi. I’ll be installing the 95mm ZR1 TB.

I just did a 2300 with port injection... It will be going on the dyno in a few hours.
I'll post up and let everyone know what it did later tonight or tomorrow.

z06? Sounds like you are going for some major power. 750-800whp?

Yes, its a LT4/Z06.
I was a little over 750whp on E85 (E65 at the time of the tune/dyno) before the swap. (FBO/H/C/I & ported stock blower/snout, 103mm TB, port injection on stock blower, full flex-fuel setup, LG full cooling setup, etc.)
So this round is basically a blower swap only using the kit upper pulley that comes with the Magnuson and retaining the mods that were already in place.
I do have an 18% lower already on that will stay.

It will be interesting to see what it makes.
My goal was to build something close to 1000HP at the crank or a little less without having to use meth, with a full flex-fuel setup that will be somewhat reliable.
Im close, so hopefully this gets me a little closer.

Sounds great. How do you like the LG cooling? Was it a bitch to install. Was considering it when I do a Maggie heartbeat on my grand sport.

The cooling kit works very well.
I actually had to dial the fan back a bit because on cooler days it took a bit to warm the engine and oil up.
Otherwise the temps are inline with my NA Z06 (minus the higher IAT's from the PD blower.)
170-180ect, 175-185eot, IAT's coming out of the blower are around 90-100deg. unless its 100+deg. and I'm beating on the car then I have seen it hit 150deg.

I actually live close to LG's HQ so I just had them install it, so it was easy.. lol!
