Holy cow! This guy posted a reasonable thread meant to encourage interesting discourse about what is expected/needed/will be provided in the new car. He neither mentioned his Z4 nor compared the new model to any other vehicle. It's one thing to jump someone for posting a thread to incite arguments, but quite another to add the inciteful comments yourself and then ridicule the other poster.
Everyone, keep your bashing to a minimum and we can get back to enjoying the site. This is the reason I had jumped ship so many years ago and have only recently returned.
You obviously have not seen much of Colorado C6's troll posts in C7, or you would understand the general disdain for his trash comments.
Sarcastically admitting to prejudice does not justify it. Intentionally harassing another member because you dislike their previous posts, opinions, or behavior provokes future hostility. If I have in some way misread this post or any of the other thoughtless bickering in this section, please enlighten me by logically (with references to specific threads or posts) educate me. As for the relevance of this thread, Bucky, in an open forum-type scenario, it would not be fruitless to ask the question : "How far has GM moved forward?" Other recent threads referenced the new Tesla, stop/start in European sports cars, and other uses of VVT, cylinder deactivation, and the like. It is perfectly reasonable to compare a vehicle to its predecessors as well as its competitors. The C6 has been (in some ways rightly so) called the C5.5 because of the similarities with the C5. In that case, there was so much carry-over in suspension geometry and driveline design that one couldn't help but make the comparison. Both cars are excellent and I consider the C6 a step forward. It was not the same step forward we saw with the C4/5 transition.
You sound like the alter ego of Colorado C6, ala another well known pair who are CF members.
Come on now guys. Lay off Colorado C6. We have found out recently he has mental & physical challenges, and now found out that he has different preferences then most of us.
We should all support people that are physically & mentally challenged along with understanding people in his community.
Colorado C6 lets see that picture of you in the pride parade driving that little car with the top down.

I find many, if not most of CoC6's posts offensive and do not support him. But I will never attack him personally as should any of us. Please attack his arguments, not him

I think if you took the time to read the post I very clearly support him. Heck if you read the very first sentances you would know that I'm attempting to stick up for him. "Come on now guys. Lay off Colorado C6."
Colorado C6 has told us he is unable to take the top off his old Corvette. If you read his posts you will clearly see the issues. My post was nothing but supportive.
If you infer something different that is sadly on you.
... The Forum should be a place where we treat one another with civility so that it remains a fun and friendly place to hang around with other Corvette enthusiasts. ....
Well this is a true statement Crabby, but Colorado C6 clearly is NOT a Corvette enthusiast, and his posts take the fun out of friendly discussion between true Corvette enthusiasts.

Great post.
Except I do support him. Not his ideas or posts though.

I will state it again. People should lay off the poor guy.
I can handle that inference.
I will will continue to call out CoC6's opinions that I do not agree, especially when he uses parts of my posts, out of context, to try and support his arguments.

Like I said in the PM I sent, I hope you get the position you're looking for on the forum. Good Luck.
As others have said calling out CoC6's opinions you agree with or disagree with is just feeding the monster. Even if he uses your posts, out of context.

And what position is that? Is it a secret between you and Me?
And thanks for the edit of your original post, mine, however, will stand as they are.

I know your track record, and how you operate that is the only reason for the edit. The fact you left it up after you inferred something from it is obviously on you.
A C6.4 is a new model that looks very much like the model it replaces. A C6.4 billed as a new generation car but does not have a retractable hardtop, no 8 speed Automatic transmission or DCT. No Hybrid model of any kind, No All wheel drive, 70's type removal roof, no turbo charging, or Mid engine design. I believe many of these features will be in the C8 10 years or so from now.
The difference between a C6 and a C6.4 will be an improved interior (Maybe. We have heard that before) and the CUE system. An improved NAV system.
So there is your answer sir. Now let's just see how many of these improvements we see in Janurary and we will know if we have a C6.4 or a C7.
