Given that GM has told us that 2 parts are carried over from the C6, in what way is it not a new generation other than those 2 parts.
Your naiveté of Colorado C6's previous actions not withstanding, this thread serves no purpose other than to try to inflame others. Even the title is meant to be insulting and inflammatory. Had he posted the thread "How far has GM moved forward?" he may have gotten a better response. Had you done it, you most certainly would have gotten a better response.
Tell us if you think his posts trend towards building, or enhancing a Corvette Community. Most do not believe its purpose is to denigrate the car at every possible opportunity.
Well said. I hope the mods shut this down. All we're doing is debating the merits of a poster who owns a BMW Z3.5. Should be about the C7, and we already know that very few parts will be carried over (2?? well maybe not that few). It will truly be a C7, even though some will think it is a Camarvette because the taillights may share a common geometry with a pony car from the same corporation...
A C6.4 is a new model that looks very much like the model it replaces. A C6.4 billed as a new generation car but does not have a retractable hardtop, no 8 speed Automatic transmission or DCT. No Hybrid model of any kind, No All wheel drive, 70's type removal roof, no turbo charging, or Mid engine design. I believe many of these features will be in the C8 10 years or so from now.
The difference between a C6 and a C6.4 will be an improved interior (Maybe. We have heard that before) and the CUE system. An improved NAV system.
So there is your answer sir. Now let's just see how many of these improvements we see in Janurary and we will know if we have a C6.4 or a C7.
The internet advice dog never asks questions. He only states facts. It wasn't a question, it was an affirmation; read again.

You have been asked repeatedly to name any car that offers all of these features. You must be blind and can't read, or you can't comprehend the question. I only say that as you never have offered an answer.

And that IS NOT an attack on you.
Back this car claim up with facts.
Love your sense of humor Jack.
Also a good post. Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer.

[QUOTE=glass slipper;1582205396]What about your 2012 BMW Z4 with McPherson strut front suspension you paid $60k for? When do you think you'll leave the 1950's and join us in the 21st century? When do you think BMW will come out with the Z4.5 and actually have a real SLA front suspension that a true 21st century performance car deserves? What makes you think we should listen to somebody so stupid, they spent $60k on a car when a 2012 Corvette could be had for less than $40k that'll kick the crap out of the Z4?
Like I said in the PM I sent, I hope you get the position you're looking for on the forum. Good Luck.
As others have said calling out CoC6's opinions you agree with or disagree with is just feeding the monster. Even if he uses your posts, out of context.
And what is that position again? As I will not reveal to everyone on this Forum the details of a PM sent to me by you which includes an accusation.
And you don't feed that, as you say, "monster" with your comments?
Glass Slipper And when do you think Corvette will come up with an 8 speed AT with paddle shifters. And Turbo charging. How about a retractable hard top? How about a DCT? A decent audio and NAV system. My BMW Z4 28i is not a high performance car. It is a nimble sports car with excellent gas milage and more than acceptable performance and comfort. It's not a dragster which is not what I want.
The reason for starting this new thread was to point out the large number of threads this morning with negative comments about features that folks don't like or that seem to be missing from the new C6.4 Corvette. You read them. Many threads about the new engine. Headlights. Transmissions. Removable tops. Government regulations effect on Corvette (Maybe a hybrid model is needed). Check out the threads today. I couldn't help but notice the general tone of the threads this morning.
I think you're a pathetic, miserable troll who loves to aggravate people on the Corvette Forum with this stupid crap. Why doesn't BMW use a SLA front suspension? I'll answer for you...because they know there'll be stupid people like you who are clueless and just buy the car because it says "BMW". Why does BMW keep using the same engine? Where is their cutting edge technology? I ask you these questions because I want to know why you aren't on the BMW forum asking the same thing. The last time we went around and around like this, the moderator deleted a post of yours...I wish they would ban you because you add no value whatsoever to this forum, in fact, you detract from what the forum is suppose to be.
We don't need anybody to point out any threads in C7, we can read for ourselves. Like anything else, there will always be negative things said. What I want to know is why do you focus on the negative? Where are your threads about the positive things? Until you can show where you challenged the validity of BMW as a performance car while using McPherson struts for the front suspension, you have zero credibility here.

Didn't I read somewhere that the C7 will share only two insignificant parts with the C6? If not a C7, we call the all new Corvette a C6.99.9...........yea right.
You seem to want to continue to carry on with this subject. So I'm fine with that.
Yes, I'm guilty of feeding the troll "monster" because it can be fun.
You're more then welcome to post my PM to you wishing you good luck on becoming a moderator. No need to deny it, as it is as clear as the day is long.
Feel free to continue on with this. Like I said it's your ballgame. I know how you operate.
It may be clear to you and that is your opinion "as the day is long". But in reality it will never be a goal for me to be a Moderator on CF. I therefore deny that statement.
And please tell us how you think I operate and what is my track record. And NO I have not reported any of your or anyone else's posts for that matter to those that monitor and control CF.
Who the hell cares? It'll be a 2014. Is it OK with you if they call it that?
All this CX.5 crap started with the C5 guys who didn't want to admit that the C6 was a leap forward from their investment. So they whined that a car with a different body, chassis, engine, wheelbase, track, and interior couldn't be that much different than their baby.
yep, you nailed it.
...and some future C7 owners will be calling the C8 a "C7.2" soon enough.

There you go again. You just keep nagging & nagging like an old married woman with this.
You're much better off denying that you want the spot. No point in showing you want the job at this point.
That he is. IMHO a person who participates in any particular car's forum for the sole purpose of bad-mouthing that car is not entitled to any courtesy nor respect and should be treated like the troll that they are. The reason for that treatment is to encourage them to just GO AWAY.
