This, from you, I find hard to believe. Once everyone else views the next video release from one13thirteen and begins to make comments on the freeze frame clues, you will not be able to resist to at least look.

I hope you'll reconsider at that point as you have been good at posting those freeze frames. Duty will call!

I predict more teaser video worthlessness on and on til 1-13-13. I've seen everything they are going to show until the reveal from Jalopnik (a year ago!) and Keek's CADs. Why bother encouraging this GM marketing sludge? Just give me more LT1-style info-announcements.

Maybe GM should have used Brad Pitt as he can also say nothing for a lot of money!

Thank god its only 6 more weeks until the autoshow, because thats about the only thing they've "teased" me into looking forward too.

Instead of wasting money on these bullshyt pictures and videos. Show us small pieces of the actual C7 that have been greatly improved over the C6. Hell they've already showed us the engine, would it really hurt to show the wheels. Or the brakes. Or the suspension. Or the exhaust. Or the seats. Or the HUD. Hell even a picture from underneath the car. I know they want to save the best for last.. showing the whole car at the NAIAS happening in Detroit. But the above picture shown could have came from ANY car.

Ox, There is no getting around the fact that you are very passionate about cars , especially the Corvette. I share your disgust with 13-13-13-13 shyt but I would wager a set of heated and cooled seats that it will be physically impossible for you to not sneak a peak at this Thursday's BS video.

All of us need to pray for better teaser videos from GM. I think they will come. Also, we need to put on something blue, hold the hand of the person next to us and pray for Ox too. Ox, you will get through this and it will be ok to look at the third video . Everyone will be thrilled with your stills and the debate from that will carry us on through the holidays.
Just when we think we can't go on maybe, just maybe keeks may appear and throw us one last crumb.....

I am hoping for a final Keeks CAD. It will be far more informative.

Surprise, it's working...
Actually it didnt work. Because I didnt bother looking at it on Facebook where they posted it for me to look at. And I use Facebook all day long. The ONLY reason I even know this pic exists is that that someone else pointed it on another Corvette forum, in a thread where a whopping 29 people have commented about it and an area that I generally read anyways. How does this happen when there are 1 Billion facebook accounts?

Step away from the Corvette fan table for a minute.. and take an outside look at this "teaser" marketing campaign that they've run for the C7. The only people excited about this teaser crap.. is people who were going to buy the C7 anyways! Exactly what have they shown to get the average joe excited about the C7? Blurry Videos? Pictures of some guys Helmet? A completed covered car? Some artistic drawings of crazy concepts we all know will look nothing the C7.

With the exception of the LT1 engine announcement, nothing else they've shown has been even remotely exciting about the upcoming C7. And even then the 450hp/26mpg LT1 stats has generated more controversy than optimism.. as the current LS3 already produces 430hp/26mpg.

Look I get it. We are going to see everything there is to see in the next 6 weeks. But looking at the "teasers" they've given us so far. I've learned more about whats coming on the C7 from the Keeks, than I have from any part of this teaser GM has released. And thats pretty sad, considering there is an entire marketing department who's job is to get people excited about the upcoming car. With what they've released so far, they could have fired the marketing department and generated the same excitement.

I stick by my original point that they could atleast show us real pictures of actual mechanical parts on the car, without showing us the body panels or revealing the overall car. Hell they could generate tons of interests just by showing the C7 seats! And having an engineer talk about how much they have improved over the last generation.

I am predicting that this Thursday's video will very revealing ( relatively speaking ) because of the planned release of the C&D magazine / renderings.

I am also predicting that Ox will be one of the first guys on GM's site Thursday morning

It will be more of the the same. They made these all together and they are all going to be purposely vague. I will defer to you, JT, to tell us all what is meaningful about it.

Can't let go of that conspiracy theory, can you? The next video is CRAFT. How is that going to tell you anything you're dying to know? We'll get to see more sculpting clay and caressing indistinguishable body lines, guys with safety goggles staring intently at technical-looking components, games played with the lens focus, and some tired cliche that's supposed to seem profound because it's stretched out over 30 seconds. OMG quality! They really do care! It's just like a Porsche Ferrari! Another glimpse of the interior, probably a super closeup of a weathered hand caressing seat leather, is about all you'll get.

These videos are made for that person in your family who asks you "how's the Corvette?" at every gathering, and for the guy in the cubicle at the end of the row who "likes cars" and is on his third Camry.

My prediction that a better video was coming was dead wrong and yes I still believe that C and D mag showed their ritualistic 2D rendering with GM's blessing.

As for my conspiracy...Mr. keeks, our beloved celebrity has seen the C7 in the flesh. President Obama, who loves GT 500's has not even seen the C7 in the flesh! No mean spirits here, I love keeks and will probably never forget holding on so tightly to his every word is employed by GM .To be continued...

This is why I'm going to the Bash in late April. I want to see it live and in 3D living color, touch it, sit in it, attend the seminars, etc. Then, and only then, will I be able to make a solid judgment call as to if I will own my 7th and most likely the last Corvette of my life time.

As this will probably be my last Corvette as well, my plan is similar to the one I used in 2004. Loved the C6 at first sight in the 2D "It's a Boy's Dream" but had to go to the New York Auto Show, April, 2004 to see it live. So happy my 1/4/2004 refundable deposit was a good choice as I ordered mine that May, 2004. Glad I jumped on the "Refundable Deposit Train" early because by April the lines for tickets were beginning to get long.

This time, for the C7, about Dec, 13/Jan, 14 looks good for me to order.
