The CAD rendering definitely appears to have large rear fender flares, and the wheels also appear to have a lower offset to account for this (as mentioned above.) I really hope this is true. This would, however, make the rear fenders, rear fascia and side skirt (with brake duct) to be all unique to the Z.
The base C7 looks better than the base C6, but the widebody C6's are my favorite. It would be great to improve upon the C7 in this way.
Hi, I'm new here everybody, and there were some things I noticed on the Keeks C7 rear CAD. I apologize if I am repeating what has already been said, as I mentioned I'm new. Here is the CAD I'm sure you're all familiar with:
Anyway, look at the wheels, they are obviously different than what we've seen before. More importantly I believe, look at the center caps. There appears to be writing on it, not the crossed flags logo. I can't say for sure but It looks as though it says "Z06" or "ZR1". Maybe that's just me... Now look inside the wheels, at the brake rotor hat. It looks to me that those are most definitely CCBs. They definitely are NOT standard C7 brakes. The fenders appear swolen, more so than on the base Stingray. The rear spoiler is also obviously different than the Z51 spoiler. Again, sorry if this is old news.
PS: I love the C7!
Another telling feature is the flared quarter panels. They appear wider than the C7 we've seen.

Oh, and the rear vertical vents are wider.
Look closely at the CAD, the wheels are very similar to ZR1 wheels. Split 5-spoke with 2, for lack of better term, branch thingies coming out of the spokes. They look almost the same, but the CAD has wider spacing between the, again, for lack of better term, branch thingies.
It would take a lot of searching, but back when Keeks posted this CAD image and the ones of the LT1 and LT4 engines there was speculation that this LR view would be the LT4 supercharged widebody model. The prediction was that the LT4 widebody would get these 20 spoke wheels, the base car with performance package (now confirmed to be called Z51) 10 spokes, and the base car 5 spokes. The seam where the bumper meets the fender clearly curves outward and the shadow directly above the wheel is more dished than the base car. Now that we have good pictures of the base car we can more easily see the difference.
As noted above, the vertical slots may well end up being wider too, the widebody will require a different bumper anyway (unlike the C6).

The wheels in video 2 are ZR1 wheels as noted.
Now that I've looked more thoroughly , I agree, those are ZR1 wheels. But why would they be there? Hmm, maybe to test wider rubber?
On the Jalopnik render I just noticed that the car has a one piece roof panel- no bar thing between it and the hatch. It also lacks a double-bubble. The rear fascia also seems to have extra vents beside the tail lights. It has Z51 wheels and spoiler, but the skirt has a duct on it, unlike the Z51. The car has a splitter and rockers too. And a ZR1 badge. The car they saw must have been cobbled together, that would explain the Z51 parts. But why would a ZR1 be testing on such thin wheels? I'm sorry but 638+ HP will not work on 285s with RWD. I'm convinced that Jalopnik saw a car, but it must have been a complete Franken-Vette.
Good catch and I agree it is definitely a Z version. I love the fared fenders, especially that it appears that the rear fascia is flared along with the fenders which is going to give the wannabe guys a pretty expensive changeover to copy. Hopefully almost all the panels will be different, keeping the body exclusive this time. The wheels do look like updated ZR1 wheels. I really can't wait to see this car.
