Default Keeks CAD Z06/ZR1?

Hi, I'm new here everybody, and there were some things I noticed on the Keeks C7 rear CAD. I apologize if I am repeating what has already been said, as I mentioned I'm new. Here is the CAD I'm sure you're all familiar with:

Anyway, look at the wheels, they are obviously different than what we've seen before. More importantly I believe, look at the center caps. There appears to be writing on it, not the crossed flags logo. I can't say for sure but It looks as though it says "Z06" or "ZR1". Maybe that's just me... Now look inside the wheels, at the brake rotor hat. It looks to me that those are most definitely CCBs. They definitely are NOT standard C7 brakes. The fenders appear swolen, more so than on the base Stingray. The rear spoiler is also obviously different than the Z51 spoiler. Again, sorry if this is old news.

PS: I love the C7!

Agreed.. I think we are looking at the CAD files for a higher performance version. That collection of CAD drawings also included a high performance engine CAD as well.

Yeah, I noticed the larger (LT4 I think) engine too. Anyway, I thought to post this since these details are less obvious than the differing engines.

And the intake vent on the quarter panel is body color. I wouldn't take these drawings as complete gospel as to what a future version will look like.

I have been looking at these CADs for months and I can't read anything on the center caps of the wheels. I will say those wheels are clearly different but the brakes and spoiler looks just like the Z51's stuff to me.

Can we get a side by side comparison with the Z51 recently displayed at the auto show? I'm curious to compare the rear fenders and brakes... Great find

Take another gander at the spoiler. The Z51 spoiler just fits around the base spoiler that is retained and the brake light is still located in the base spoiler.

The spoiler in the Keeks photo replaces the base spoiler and has the brake light mounted to the big spoiler. It also appears to be slightly taller, but that could be just the way it's drawn.

BlueOx,

I cannot really "read" anything on them either, they appear to be different than the base car's and I think it could be writing. So the "Z06" "ZR1" writing on them is just my speculation. Anyway take a closer look at the brakes, the Z51's hats don't have nuts on them, the Keeks one appears to have them. Also the color of the rotors, duller and darker than what appear to be un-polished wheels, says CCBs to me. they look very slightly larger than C7 rotors, but these are the rears so the size difference is not as obvious. I also just noticed the wheels have a distinctively different offset than the Z51 wheels.

I really can't tell yet...and it doesn't really matter much yet. I guess the spoiler does look taller...

Thinking about it, the different wheel offset supports the wider fenders possibility.. If you didn't notice the offset differences, look again. It will be obvious.

Man, I keep on noticing new things. Look at the lower rear vents (the vertical ones). They have horizontal slats, not criss-crossed ones, and they look bigger (wider).

The one thing I've noticed (but don't know if it is really different) is that the CAD has body colored upper fender vent...not black. It could be that there is an option for body colored vents...

Another thing... When these CAD pictures were released, didn't it include a LT1 engine bay picture, along with another engine that looked like a Supercharged option?

Yup. Not sure it was an option or the LT4 or what.

Well maybe this rear picture is in fact from the LT4 body... This is clearly a different car

The wheels in the CAD rendering look like the wheels in the first few seconds of the 2nd GM teaser video.....which also show larger more aggressive rubber.

Yep- Even the offset. GM must've known we'd catch these things, right?

Did GM do this purposefully to get us excited, or are they just being oblivious?
