Where are you getting your figures? Chevrolet website states $7,000 for the current model.

The vert looks more like a C6 than the coupe does IMO. Such will be viewed as good by some, not good by others.

I like verts to look at, but I'm a coupe guy to own/drive (preferably fixed roof coupe, but C7 may not have any of those).

Ditto...
$49,600 base coupe - $54,600 base convertible

The differential will never be $7,500 as there is no reason for that. Well, my opinion only, just so a tool on my ignore list does not ask for proof of that opinion.

You are funny. You are one of these conspiracy theorists aren't you.

Yes, my parents lacked a degree of common sense but so did many in those days. Yes, some people need to be protected from themselves... let me rephrase, children need to be protected from stupid parents who don't have common sense or a basic desire to protect their kids.

P.S. Love my parents... they were great... but when it came to common sense and safety they left something to be desired. My Dad often had a beer between his legs while I was in the back of the Vette. I was probably lucky I made it to adulthood. A little involvement from the government may not have been a horrible thing. Would it have infringed on my father's right to have a beer while driving and not have his kid in a seatbelt (or in a seat for that matter)? Yep... so what... it wasn't his best moment (he had many good ones too). My sense of keeping my kids safe is different than theirs was... progress is a good thing.

What really bothers me is that I'm not allowed to smoke a joint while enjoying a scotch while driving on that street without speed limits. Big Brother ALWAYS gets in the way of me enjoying life.

I slept in the back window ledge of our big family car over long distances at night. I also stood up in the front seat for many miles when I was a toddler.

I think kids could easily sleep in the back of the C7 coupe.

Okay, after looking at all the pictures my problem isn't so much the tail lights as it is with the rear wheel wells. Behind the doors at the bottom of the car where the ground effects are, in some pictures it looks like it sticks out too far at the wheel well. Kind of makes the tires look too small for the car. I'm just hoping it doesn't look like that in person. Although, I have to say the boys in Bowling Green put out another beautiful Corvette. I'd like mine to be a black coupe please...

Coupe, plus I love targa tops. I don't know why I just do... this is also why I need a green Supra to compliment my red C6 and soon to be Grey C7.

I think the 7th gen car is sexy as hell while being quite sinister and evil in appearance..

I have always loved the look of a coupe better than a convertible - especially when that vert's top is up...

Yes, the roadster is utterly bad ***, but my vote still goes with the coupe.. which is why I will be ordering a coupe.
